Re: My Volvo 850 T5 !
okay, got a few goodies through the post today
my Poly Torque bush and Volvo upper strut brace are the goodies in question and im really happy with both!
the Top engine mount / torque bush has made the engine sound several times more aggressive and louder like you wouldn't believe!, the vibrations can now travel straight into bulk head......its really weird.
And the strut brave is genuine Volvo "after-market performance aids", it weights nothing at all and its nice a stiff!, made a huge impression on me on the first S bend i went through! they should have come with one on from stock!

thanks

Re: My Volvo 850 T5 !
Stiff engine mounts are annoying but they make a fair difference to launching and gearchanges! I'm gonna make a similar sort of thing to replace the rubber dogbone mount on the punto.
Brace looks good!

Lookin good i remember the vibrations from having power flex bushers on my gear box mount on the Saxo it is a strange feeling but feels so tight when accelerating and cornering

Re: My Volvo 850 T5 !
i say with the badge but do what i did and ditch the chrome bit and just use the black in lay bit and the badge, it looks well smart
good idea on the carbon wrap, if i was you i'd have a wander over to the volvoforum.org (iirc) and see what 855 goddies are laying around for sale on there as there was always something i wanted for next to no money lol

I'd badge it up pal looks a touch too plain without. Nice to see our wrap chat has sank in lol should look cool with those bits wrapped it'll put a nice little twist to the exterior dude. Also still fancy attempting to make our own Jason motor sport boost pipe ?

vinyl carbon... urgh.
The grille looks good. its a 50/50 split on which looks better IMO, badge or no badge, they both look smart

Re: My Volvo 850 T5 !
Not much of an update but hey
Today i decided a car smelling of anti-freeze is getting boring so i had no choice but to change the leaking matrix!
It wasnt to bad to do but it developed a leak on the O-rings after so it had to do the job twice!!....tut
And on a another note i cant wait to get the bloody thing mapped!!!! this is mainly down to the fact that i drove a ex police mk1 V70 T5 today which had been chipped the owner reckoned it was around 270-280bhp and it went like a bloody missile!, it felt electric
So some time in the next couple of weeks i need to find the time to take the TD04 16T turbo off of one of our V70 T5's because they are a straight bolt on fit with a massively improved down pipe and the 16T's compressor and housing are larger than my 15G
Then it can go for map seen as my oil seals in my turbo are a little pants!
thanks
Jason

hi mate
cheers for the comments and i agree about the grill, i think i will end up fitting the grill without the badge but stick an R badge in the corner
the filter didnt make any real difference to feel but they nearly always make a few extra ponnies on the rollers!, plus if you tweak most cars the stock paper filter will quickly become a big restriction plus they are cheap and they last a long long time
thanks
