Yes i run a copper plate, ive often considered the 1.2 16v pistons but i choice to use the Copper de-comp plate as i have been able to choice exactly the C/R i wanted for the set up and if i was going to drop the pistons out id really want forged goodies.....issue there is i cant afford or dont have time at the moment for an after market ECU and id hate to kill a set of expensive pistons
im happy for now running the de-comp its always been good for me
thanks

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
There's a good wheel they suit just about anything and with it been a turbo makes it an ideal wheel for the Cinq

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
they'd look terrible IMO.
They suit the smoothed low & slow look, not the quick as feck look.

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
i have to admit i am a fan of these wheels but imo they should only be fitted to euro look cars not insane turbo charged little monsters like jays cinq, unless jay decides he is going to smooth the body out and lose the mad styling imho it wont look as good as we think, i could be totally wrong and i usually am lol

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
The Cinq is poorly again!!!, came to take it for a blast and its running lean on boost (MF2 etc working correctly)!!! so yet again for the millionth time its a fault on the SPI running gear somewhere
so F##K it ive had enough im going to pull some bits of and go for 8 injectors!!
not as extreme as it sounds, ive basically decided to fit a Punto 75 ECU and loom running four stock 75 injectors and then place my Volvo "on boost" injectors underneath the stock 75 manifold somehow. This is a Punto 75 engine so the way i see it now is i cant afford after market management so i may aswell use the proper fiat set up for that engine rather than SPI 54bhp ecu SPI etc, id love to go for standalone but id rather put it into the T5 now.
Doing this ill be able to do away with the 40mm SPI TB in favour of a bigger TB. Ill still use the MF2 to control the on boost injectors but i really feel that this may cure my running issues because if there is a 75 ecu powering 75 lump with stock injectors etc it should be fine off boost........ making it for the first time in a long time.... usable and nice to drive both on and of boost
anyone got a 75 loom and ECU laying around??? lol
after that it'll be back to Noble for a setup and fingers crossed some trouble free scooby slaying heheee
thanks
Jason
Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
i know where there is one but not sure if its going to get used yet or not, its the ecu and loom out of my cinq and we all know that went well lol

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
little update for the mighty mouse
finally got around to doing a couple of little jobs today, main thing was the front bumper which was really s##t to look at, its been painted mnay times before and its never been right. Seeing that i cant do no worse ive decided to have a blast i filling it and painting it
ive also started the rear quarter were the paint had lifted due to water (past paint job) its ready for a coat of paint tomorrow (ran out of paint )
pics -
the other thing ive done is get rid of the old mushroom filter, it was a little to jap style and it was green, the cars theme is blue and black so ive gone for a cone filter once again in blue, ive tried to get it to sit as far back as possible so it doesn't look like a javelin sticking out the front hehe
And finally i decided to refit the old mesh grill it used to have as the old aluminium cooler and rad looked a little to tired to be on show :0

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
good stuff!
Glad to see the HKS filter go, They are wank for filtration. Odds are the new one will flow the same but do a much better job of cleaning the air!
Gonnae paint the end plate black for subtlety?
