Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
no progress here guys im affraid, i need to to get a move on with the cinq soon as i cant stand it being stood like it is! im struggling for time and energy here because im in training aswell as work and no money haha.....ow joy
But.......... hopefully this weekend i can attack it and get the loom in, then its a case off piping up the cooler on proper mounts so it can be used on the road to keep it active (off boost off course due to the issues with the MF2).
I need the feel the beans again!!!!!!!!

going to get stuck into it tomorrow i think mate weather depending! dunno how im going to jack it up though cus the sills are very soft these days lol.
Ive been in a mess all week mate, never been in so much pain fighting through it though and ill be use to the new routine by monday due to the diet, i heal very fast eating right so its a case off carrying on the routine for another 2-3 weeks before i change it again and suffer alover again lol......its going very well though and it the main thing for the next few months meaning the car is going to take a bit off a back seat sort off.
I have found a spot where the battery is going to go in the boot though on the cinq so im going to get the tray bolted in soon to start the relocation.
cheers

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
well guys good news!!
ive stripped the old loom out today when i got home......funny because ive been trying to put a side a weekend to start this and a simple job off running it for 10 mins after being stood resulted in the loom being stripped out it came out ok and i only had to remove the front bumper and boost pipes to get it all out.
obviously this means ive found my keys too haha......right in front off my face!
i did run the car for abit and its cheered me right up hearing the sweeeeeeet turbo 1242 burble away and the engine sounded sweet as nut
jobs to do before it runs again -
secure intercooler on metal brackets.
repair and strengthen bumper
pipe intercooler up.
re-route axillary wiring loom through back off O.E batt tray.
relocate battery in boot.
source another MF2, or simply get it running well enough to be used without needing to be on boost all the time
ive taken a few pics off the stip so ill pop them up in abit!
thanks

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
anyway enough off the piss taking!!, metal brackets (yes...metal) for the cooler are almost done and im waiting for them back from my dads mate in polished alloy then i need to figure some neat way off securing it to the plastic bumper.....one idea is to mount the brackets on two extra vertical brackets behind the bumper attached to the slam panel but ill see.
and ive been on the phone trying to sort a new MF2 or an alternative fuel controller sorted......meanwhile im stripping the MF2 as id reli like to find a loose solder or find the built in map sensor is faulty or something!
need this bugger back on the road asap.......serious withdrawal symptom's.....drove a remapped T5 X police car today running 280-290bhp and it juts didnt pull as rapidly as the cinq running full boost with the meth on! i miss it

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
I do hope the MF2 is an easy problem to solve it's satisfying when you have striped something down and repaired it and you no where the weak points are and making them stronger or modifying it too last longer than buying new.

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
no worries mate it just looked a little blunt the way you said it but you cant always tell in writing, man you know me i think i started the cable ties thing with the golf... dont you remember the grille peice held on by one, the foglight fitting held in by a few, wheel arch liners held in by them, headlight adjustment held by them
anyway yeah looking good wouldnt have minded a bit of hands on messing about on a motor especially wiring but you never know whats around the corner

OH nasty lol but fair and true lol
Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
right well the loom is in and its running!! it seems ok till it gets warm and it hesitates to rev up but i still need a new lambda before i can say its either ok or its not haha, once the lambda is in i can get the bumper with cooler attached properly so i can take it on the road for a quick test.

Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
Looking good i like where the intercooler is mounted and that's a good pic of the Cinq and Micra side by side two good examples of turbo cars and it's good because they are very rare cars on the modifying scene.
