And here is the finished item!!
After all the hard work and money here is the finished (well sort off finished) example off my "now to be called" GT17 equiped 75 engined MPI/SPI turbo cinquecento!!
The finished spec uses a now complete "1994 1242cc punto 75hp MPI engine" with a Garrett GT1752/Gt15 hybrid turbo which will flow enough air for 250bhp and runs at peak efficiency around 15psi/15-20lb/min of air flow. The fueling while off boost (below 0psi) is controlled by the standard SPI injector and ECU and when the turbo starts to create boost the Mf2 detects it and starts to kick the MPI setup into action!
here she is -

Rolling road figures!!!!!!!!
The cinq has visited the rolling road today and all my hard work has paid off!!
156.2bhp @ 6534rpm
145.3lb/sf of torque @ 4644rpm
@ 14psi of boost
Seems my new setup is working well and the best part is there is roughly 10bhp more to be made by fitted a less restrictive throttle bob as mine is 1.5 inches not 2" !!
They ran the car at 18psi to see what she was pulling there and the figures were as follows-
167bhp/160lb/sf, so they have set the boost at 14psi for the saftey of the engine
And its fast! it drives totaly different to before and it suits the turbo cinqs down to the ground, there is little torque worth talking about below 3000rpm and then wooooooo is starts to take off and the pull is right to the redline still maiing the full 156bhp at 7000rpm!, the climb over 100 happens a little to fast for my liking as id like to keep a clean licence hehe.
The wheel spin has been reduced aswell due to the more progressive turbo which makes it faster on the road
All in all im very pleased and i no there is another 20bhp tied up in the tiny intercooler and the BOB should i feel more is needed lol.
thanks

thanks mate
i ended up fitting a set of yellow volvo 850 2.0 10v injecotors (ran 110bhp in the volvo) but i believe in the volvo they ran sequensial injection so in batched injection they deliver alot off fuel!
There seems to be plenty of room for more aswell seen as they ran the car at 18psi leaving the MPI totaly indipendant, im going to get a new BOB made up as Nobles said and this will see over 160bhp with 150lb/sf roughly and its either big intercooler time or water injection for saftey......then if i ever decide i want more it will run 180 plus bhp no sweat
thanks
jason
Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
how can they deliver more fuel in batch than sequential? Each cylinder is still receiving the same amount?
So what CR is your engine at the mo then? Im wondering if its worth me changing mine for a thicker one as well - in still between 9.2:1 to 9.4:1, dont think it will take much more boost...

my c/r is 8.5:1 mate, batched means my injectors fire 3 times in one port before the final 4th fire into the open valve so you get four pumps instead off 1 like on sequensial meaning alot more fuel delivered.
You do have a high c/r lol, im inpressed its doing the boost though on what is the standard c/r for a 1108cc cinq.....shows how the knock sensor is working its magic.
thanks
jason
Re: My 1250cc Fiat Cinquecento Turbo
it doesnt work that way mate... at least not with the setups ive used (standard 16v batch, Greddy sequential, and megasquirt batch)
They all use pulse width modulation with each single injector opening once per 4 stroke cycle on its cylinder.
Batch injection means 2 injectors are fired at the same time, with no regard to synchronizing it with any cylinder's intake stroke. It sounds daft but it obviously works. Sequential injection is obviously different in that each injector is fired on the intake stroke or just before, of each individual cylinder.
The amount of fuel delivered is exactly the same in each case. Well not exactly - because you have a slightly better control over sequential systems, they can be tuned for economy better since every cylinder receives a uniformly mixed dose of air/fuel since it is injected in the same place of every cycle of every cylinder. That is why all the newest engines use sequential.
But the principle is the same - injector timing is far from critical, and the same amount of fuel is injected each time.
I dont claim to know everything about engines (although i try) but...
This crack about 3-4 pulses per 4 stroke cycle has me mystified, it sounds daft, and i think you are missing something. By the time your 4 pulses have finished, my single large pulse in the same timespace will have injected far more fuel than yours anyways

Thats me.. Im planning on using some 250cc one's atm, tho i do have some 350cc ones. And from what you have said on injectors i do believe your correct. Does the megasquirt allow fully Sequential injection, as im only able to do semi sequential with the DTA?
EDIT: Jason can you get a copy of the RR graph up, i'd like to see it.
