Re: My Polo
oh sweet
so come on is it scrapping its a**e yet or not lol
stupid idea mate but was thinking can you not get a hold of a set of the 15inch steel wheels from a dealer that the golfs get delivered with before the alloys are fitted, i know a couple of lads that did this and they are dirt cheap and look uber sweat when slammed

Re: My Polo
trouble is golfs are now 5x112, no good as james needs 4x100 (i never thought about this whem i mentioned the audi pepperpots) unless he uses adaptors but they can be very pricey.... if going for steels then g60s are the way to go, oh and this weekend i saw quite a few nice 6ns (amongst hundreds of other cars) and one caught my eye on ronal turbos looked very good

Re: My Polo

I also hope my coliovers come this week wont to get it slammed

Re: My Polo
mk2's are 4x100
and the steels i mentioned above may not be off golfs but its what VW supply their cars to the show room with and then take them off and throw a set of alloys on for sale, and the redundent steels get sold cheap or binned lol, my mate got a set on 4x100 for his polo (version before yours) and it looked uber sweet

Re: My Polo
I like the Ronal Turbo's alot i bet when we lower it just on the steelies it will look quite impressive and if we sprayed the steelies up in gloss black i bet that will look different and may be a pin stipe round the edge of the steelies just a suggestion for you James.

Re: My Polo
i so wish there was a set of coilovers for the cinq that are cheaper than £500+, as i would love to go 10-20mm lower and have my lower brace scrap the road lol
ooooooo wouldn't it be great to have spark plates mounted on the car for night driving lol like the btcc night races on 80's F1 lol

Re: My Polo
why do you need instructions man, get em fitted, let em settle a week, then on the flattest ground you can measure arch to floor gap on each corner and adjust accordingly
ryan i believe is because there isnt the want for coilovers on cinqs enough to get them mass produced at a cheaper cost, whereas pretty much every guy into dubs drops them on coilys for looks and not performance so theres the market for making cheap height adjustable coilys
come on james get them on.... oh and for the two bolts on the bottom of the shocker to the hub the topmost of the two wants to be as far in as possible and the bottom as far out for some camber baby yeeaahh
you'll get what i mean when fitting

what are the springs like where they sit? as in are they the same width all the way down? if so i know it sounds crude but if done properly you can take say one coil out to drop it some more, as long as it still locates properly
james looking forward to it... as much as i love all motors near enough, youre on my wavelength with that car for sure
