Re: My Polo
A few pics taken today after messing yet again with the car
De Wipered and de Polo Badged
Some Pic's of the new suspension
Fronts (As you can see plenty of adjustment left)
Rears (Not So Much lol)
And Finally been messing with camber at the front i decided to see what it was like all the way over
Doesn't really suit it on such thin tyres need to get me some bad ass wide boy wheels with thin tyres
but here's some pic's anyway
Car look abit of a dog at the minute due to me, I keep messing with the suspension trying to find the best of both worlds LOW and USEABLE after i have sorted that i will treat it to a good wash and polish.

Re: My Polo
btw get the coilys coated in grease or something mate, the winter and salty roads dont mix with coilover threads, (well ok thats just me on my cheap jobbies haha) but just a thought, that grease they put on them lorry plates where trailer connects is ideal

Thanks for the info was only thinking the other day what would be best to grease them up with
Re: My Polo
well dont use copper grease haha, i did and it didnt work, ive since seen people mention that stuff (i cant think of the proper name though)
but you know what i mean (its on the bit where they hitch the trailer to)

Re: My Polo
Ahh found another problem with having the wheels way out of camber (apart from scrubin the tyres) it constantly screams on corners at any speed. lol serves me right anyway they will be put bk stright tommoz.
Re: My Polo
i think you are reffering to axel grease are you not lol
wow the drop is about the same as mine on springs and shocks lol hmmmmmm wonder if mine is down more than 40mm lol
the screaming of the tires might be due to the tracking being way out before you straighten them up get the tracking checked, because while you have cambered the wheels the track rod ends will not have adjusted to the new camber and will there for be tracking the front of the wheels in

Re: My Polo
James get car stripped out if your after a quicker car it's the cheapest option and it'll save a bit of money on fuel the engine transfer is going to cost more than the car is worth your better buying one that someone else has spent a fortune on putting the 1.8 turbo lump in the brakes are going to need uprating drums arn't great at stopping as discs.

lol you may be right on that one, i think i would like to go for a GTI rear axle.
Disc all the way round would be good and uprated disc and pads............ the 1.8 isnt really and option at the minute.
Still on the wheel hunt lol ..... i wont to get the interior sorted out anyway GTi golf mk3 Recaro's me thinks with the handles and knobs painted up.
Next after that i wont a debaged grill and a Evil eye Bonnet.
Re: My Polo
Plans sound good i like the Recaro mk3 seats from the Golf and evil eye bonnet a definate mod when yo have lights and the straight bonnet like yours oh and get them back seats and door panels off.

My polo now has a K&N lol sort off

sounds quite good between 2000-4000 revs I will see how i feel about having after a few days may treat myself to the right one for the car.
im going to order some new VW stickers next week make it look like a proper DUB
