youll be doing the turbo a favour by blanking the ERG because youll be helping prevent the veins sticking in the long run unless yours is a Euro 4 which means you cant blank it of in the same way.
the deact is a great mod, turbo spools up quicker and the engine seems to rev better at the top end
id say GET A REMAP you'd love it it transformed my dads, i always say they should have come from the factory like that after a remap.
With a map on my dad is seeing 60mpg on a run and normally no less than 53-54mpg and it goes like missile there sre some videos on here of his clock in various gears
thanks
Jason

Re: my tdci st
youll be okay then, you can blank it off altogether
and yes the vac pipe means its mechanical over vacume rather than electronic. same for the turbo actuator aswell
best place for a solid well known map is a CNL map, speak to Collin he is very helful.
my dads runs a Celtic Tuning map, its okay but it was down on there quotes even with an aftermarket intercooler, decat and airfilter.
thanks

Re: my tdci st
you can get the decat and EGR blanking plate from a member on one of the Mondeo owners forums, he goes by the name of WINGY77 i think, he calls his products "wingspeed"
you can leave the vac pipe on the EGR valve
thanks

Re: my tdci st
they are yes mate, you need to be underneath but the old cat just unbolts and the decat bolts straight in
plus the Wingspeed decats are of really good quality too, the welds are great and the design ensures good smooth flow of gasses through!
thanks
