Got the garage bill for the megane....
It was just under £1700!
Ouch!
So I am now officially broke until the end of this month
Here's what got fixed:
Driveshafts - both sides
Brakes - front and rear
Oilchange
Handbrake cable
Fuelfilter
The upside is that it pulls really well for a 1.6 8v 90hp engine
I might end up selling it and maybe buying something else...

That's a lot of money but just general wear and tear parts what you planning on getting if you did get rid of the Megane i guess it's not going to be French

Rybo: You got that right! No more french cars for me, only german from now on
1250cinqturbo: Cheap as your garage may be it would still be a 1200+ mile trip each way just to get to england.

Jason: There is a simple reason for my nickname, when me and my parents lived in america when I as a small punk the first place we stopped was in New York and in our house there (we lived in Cincinnatti, Ohio) I had a poster of the New York Yankees that's where I got my nickname "YANKEE".
RYBO: I've been offered to buy my old Volvo 760 GLE back, it needs some repairs but it is solid.

Well you can't go wrong with a Volvo good solid car same as the German cars it won't let you down and if just needs a few bits doing on it's going to be worth it

Re: Got the garage bill for the megane....
There is one BIG problem with said Volvo... and that is the V6 up front.. it's a stinkin' PRV unit pumping out a lazy 150-ish donkeys

Re: Got the garage bill for the megane....
V6??? im sure you mean a straight six i work for Volvo
They may do a V6 over there but Volvo have never released a V6 here they are all straight six engines kicking out a min of 200bhp
Im sure the American market has a V6 engine so though maybe you guys had these supplied rather than the English markets engines?
Thanks
Jason

Re: Got the garage bill for the megane....
Well James, it seems I won't be going for the Volvo after all seing that it's not what you would call mot'd any longer and I've heard that it needs a new rear axel besides the B280E engine is thirsty!
So for now I'm gonna keep the little french rodent known as the Megane...
I'll try and upload a pic of it.
And no Jason, I ment V6, but the engine (B280E) was really quiet for a V6 I should know after all, this is my old car I'm taking about.. besides over here the only older Volvo that came out with a stock straight 6 was the 960

Re: Got the garage bill for the megane....
The good thing about that car was the engine, I really didn't hear it below 3000 rpm! The only bad thing about it was that the engine was made by Peugeot, Renault and Volvo... When I tried to do a few burnouts the wheels hardly moved but they made ALOT of smoke!
