Where I booked the passat in and it turns out that the thingy that sends a signal too the fuelgauge has not arrived yet so I will have too take my roadtrip without a working fuelgauge.

Just too be sure I'm taking 2 5L cans of gas with me but I hope I don't have too use them.
The Sony DSLR batterys are charging as I am writing this, I've got a 16gb memorycard in my cam and some money in my account (payday tomorrow!)
Will have my mate take some pics of the trip both ways.
