32 Ford

The 32 Ford was launched in 1928 and Americ's roads were full of them it had a four cylinder engine. The engines were expensive to manufacture being made up of several seperate castings. Ford's plans were to cast it in one with the crankshaft also a single casting. The technology didn't come cheap and rebuilding the forge at the Rouge River plant cost $55,000,000, However when production got underway they were able to turn out 3,000 engines every day. It was released on April 2nd 1932 there were 14 V8 models to choose from. With some developments the flat head V8 engine powered Ford's up until the war as well as Bren gun carriers armoured cars and boats during the war and French and British Fords well into the 1950's.
The 3,621cc side valve engine had hugh tuning potential and it was the 1932 or Deuce which got hot rodding going all on it's own. A few stripped out tuned up 32's would make their way to the dry lake beds in California for illegal races. It was a cheap way to go fast and the whole hot rod and drag racing scene took off.

lmao its just typical american V8's lol even now they still only get around 400bhp out of a 5.4ltr and the japs and germans get 400bhp from a food blender lmao but to be honest i dont care its too beautiful for words
