Intersting ford facts

Here are a few facts about ford for some light reading -

1. The Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth was a homoligation car to the RS500 touring car, and was fitted with the same massive Garrett T4 turbo, a huge intercooler, a big plenum chamber and 8 injectors (only four wired up). This was so the rs500 road car could be capable of running 550bhp!!

2. The Ford RS200 BDT rally car held the world record for sometime with a 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds.

3. The small turbo Escort RS Cosworth T25 is still Fords fastest 2.0 turbo upto 60mph, doing it in just 5.7 seconds!!

4. Cosworth once developed at a 1.3 litre turbocharged engine that developed 1400bhp!!

5. Ford made a limited addition version of the MK4 escort that had the capri 2.8 litre V6 fitted to with rear wheel drive and 160bhp.

6. The Ford Granada 2.8 was fitted with the same colonge v6 as the capri but with 10bhp less due to a badly designed exhaust!

7. Fords new Focus RS is there 100th car modle to be made!

8. In 1916 55% of all cars where model T's

9. In the early 60's Ford tried to buy Farrari

10. Ford motor company was founded 0n the 16th of june 1903! (16th june is my birthday!!!)

11. The new Focus RS is as quick on the buttertubs pass as the nissan GTR.

Hehe well there will be the daddy of all cosworths on the drive one day,,,,,,,,the cinq will be there to keep an eye on it like an angry little dog haha
