second hand engine about 320 quid
not sure on a fitting price
why not get a 1800 stroker kit for your engine

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
Thats costs £2700... but i suppose an engine conversion wouldnt be much cheaper... any idea wat sort of power gain the stroker kit would give me?

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
at that price just turbo it or if u want to stay N/A Cams and throttle bodies (which again aren't cheap either)
Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
You don't gain alot from fitting 106 GTI cams you might aswell get some aftermarket cams for a turbo kit you need to fabricate your own as they don't sell them as a kit what you need to think about with the V6 is the weight in a small car i know someone has put one V6 in the front and one in the back of his C2 and it's 4wd looks awesome but the cost would be quite abit what do you want out of your car a good balanced car or just fast in a straight line and good at going round in circles when you over do it.

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
I do see your point Ryan... what i want out of my car is something that can be flung around corners as silly speeds and still keep traction and to be able to pickup again quickly on the straights.. not too bothered about silly power such as those 300bhp supercharged saxos. Any ideas?

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
I decided to go for a balance with a set of cams to squeeze a few more horses out plus the engine, transmission will last longer someone has built a turbo C2GT but the money that has gone into it goes in to £6000 there is another build on another GT with cams throttle bodies with high comp wosner pistons and he's spent around £4500 that's why im sticking with cams i think around 150bhp is plenty in a C2 and people that have done it are more than happy i will have to wait and see and just remember it's not about the figures it's about how it drivers and how the power is put down personally i think having 200bhp in a small front wheel drive car depending on what car it is can turn out to be a waste of time especially in a small light French car

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
What has a greater impact on performace? 4-1 manifold or some nutty cams? Also what increases torque most?

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
Sorry not been on here for a while it depends if you use it every day or just weekends iv'e got mine up and running with Newman PH3 cams in traffic it can sound like it's going to cut out and they do run rough on idle which you expect they take alot of messing about with the vernier pulleys getting a good balance i also run a Supersprint 4-1 manifold which also gives good gains top end it all depends on how much you want to spend ill let you know when my car is set up properly for the increase in torque i need to run the engine in first and the sound of the two combined is pretty awesome there's some good pops and bangs

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
Does sound pretty mad! But I don't think I want all that hassle with the cams... was going to ask what would be best before I get a remap... 4-1 manifold or cams but I think manifold is a lot simpler ha... will the manifold gives nice pops and bangs aswell?

You could not be more wrong, sorry
These are ace engines, cams, intake and good quality full exhaust system with a remap and you will be knocking on 160bhp which is enough to be getting on with.

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
Cams, Vernier pulleys mani ss exhaust induction kit on the C2 GT which has 110 bhp they see 150 bhp with these mods and we start with 125 bhp so should easily see 160 bhp

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
So basically buy everything possible? ha Any idea what sort of power i would get with induction, exhaust, mani and obviously mapped aswell. 140bhp? I want more oompf... as its embarassing that my mate in his 206 1.6 GTDI can keep up with me... and thats a diesel!!
Also is there a chance that my car isnt running at full potential as i have an aftermarket exhaust and induction? ECU maybe confused? Or doesnt it make much of a difference since its a small engine?

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
Take it to a rolling road see what power it's running at something doesn't sound right the 0-60 times for the 206 are around 9.5 secs the C2 VTS petrol is 8.0 secs and the 1.6 HDI C2 Diesel is 9.1 secs but just remember Diesel engines have more torque and rev lower than a petrol engine iv'e noticed a difference from standard just with the exhaust and induction kit get it remapped and see what it's like also make sure your clutch isn't slipping

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
Im sure my clutch isnt slipping as its only done 35000 miles:) and yeh im talking about the fact he pulls a lot more while moving which is a pain.. it has about 200 ft/lbs of torque which might answer why ha... yehh im thinking about getting a mani before remap tho.. get a spitting and stuff xD

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
I get ya the VTS Diesel pulls better than the VTS Petrol in some gears due to the torque they have if you get the mani you'll notice a big difference then a remap will finish it off well it should easily see 140 - 145 bhp from what iv'e read on C2SC

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
Does the diesel pull more in the higher gears im guessing? Ahh 145bhp does sound good to me xD So mani is deffo worthwhile then:) cheers!

Re: My Rally style C2 VTS:)
Depends on gear box ratios but for example 35mph to 55mph in forth gear you will probably find the Diesel may pull alot more strong than the Petrol engine and yes i would get the mani more of a noticible difference than a cat back system
