Mine's pretty mad with 200hp, 950kg's but the best bit is the 300lb/ft of torque!

yeah it pretty stupid really, its running the current power @ 14psi of boost, if i was well off enough to stretch to rods and pistons then id be able to crank up the boost to 20psi and hit 200-210bhp (if id decided to have a death wish), apart from being light the Cinq is low geared so the acceleration is pretty blistering.

I must confess though im a huuuge diesel fan, the torque and the torque curve combined give a serious smile

daft question but whats your MPG like???, modern common rails give such good MPG even after being tuned 50-60bhp over stock so im curious what the old diesel lumps can do??

Erm, well driving back over from York to Manchester last night I got over 50mpg. Diesel engine, big turbo with low back pressure and super lightweight = uber economy. :-)

best ive got from the Volvo is 33mpg average on a run, the Cinq is okay on a run but creep it on boost slightly and bang the needle drops...

that is bad!, my dad drives a 188bhp ST tdci Mondeo and he is seeing 62mpg on a run and around 55-57mpg average normally!!

is it still running in?? my dads freed of an extra 4-5mpg when it was fully run in

oh yes gotta love the diesel power (even though this 306 looks to be far superior to the polo in terms of that), the missus polo did 57mpg on the way to london just cruising, and 54 on the way back with a very long play session with a new seat exeo 2.0tdi 140
