31/07/2010 Buttertub's pass and l day trip and stop out!

Hello.

1st attempt at day trip plan to see how things go.....see if we can get some names down for the following -

31/07/2010, its a Saturday at the end off this month when i return from holiday.

The plan is to take a trip to the North Yorkshire Dales to one off the modifiedmonsters forum's best loved roads called the Butter-tubs pass and a newly discovered stretch off road in the day time.
From there we head to an over night stop at either a Bed and Breakfast or camping!

The following sunday we return to the Buttertubs for a second run (including the newly discovered stretch) and then return to home.....back to work the next day
Its also worth me mentioning that if you wish to come out for the day for the drive and the friendly (mostly car related) banter then you are more than welcome.
This trip will give members a good chance to have a nosey at each others cars, catch up, have a good laugh and drive on some really great roads.

the trip out can be altered to suite members needs and dates can be changed if the demand for it is big enough.

And if members have any questions regarding the trip that they dont wish to be display then PM me directly, other than that i will be updating this original post with names of people wishing to join the trip leaving below for enquires and question as well as general chat about the trip.

agreed, anyone wishing to go on the tubs drives as they see fit, each to his/her own on there. good luck to the person seeing where the limit of there tyres are on there lol.

Anyway guys, ryan and james are you still on for the trip?? i will be going in the mighty 670bhp.......hang on a min.....ahhh yes i mean 60bhp punto!! because the cinq will be poorly for some time

It doesnt bother me though as the punto is amazingly good for economy and comfort which will be a nice welcome change!! and for once ill be by far the slowest on the trip haha. Ill even be happy to take the 165 michellin bad boys on the tubs with confidence. You will just have to wait for me to catch up!

I will get intouch with a few more people to see if they will be coming or not, but it looks like the premier inn is looking like the best bet for the trip??

well even with selling a few bits and bobs to try and stay on top of the money game ive still proper fcked up this month with less than a pound left to my name already and i know a few direct debits have yet to come out and our lasses birthday,
im mainly blaming the effing dvla for ripping my pants down at 205 quid for road tax, now i cant even afford to go on the road i have just paid tax for... cheers

i will mate, im just a bit depressed about it at the minute, but i'll prob be r8 when my bank looks a little happier,
someone take a camera out when you go though, when i come on a drive i'll be bringing one and making you all stop at various points along the way

same here my money is running dry.........should be alright for the 31st though i agree we will have to take a camera and take some good photos.

Jay is it ok to go in Punto with you because can't get to bottom of ESP problem and as you no with the luck of my car history it's best not to use it going to take it in to Citroen next month and see if they have any luck in to finding out what the problem is think it's possibly some expensive module

ESP is poo there seems to be so many problems with it.

nevermind............ u will have to enjoy the punto

Sorry mate didnt see the reply been trying to get on as and when i can but the internet and phone connection here is rubbish, your more than welcome to come in the punto you will be nice and comfy and dont worry about petrol money as its a change for me to have a car that does mid 40's lol. be good to have some company!

I'll give you some petrol money if i was takin my car it would cost me money anyway will be nice to have some comfort too

ok guys and gools count me in on 2 conditions
1:- that i get the 1242mpi in (might stand a chance of keeping up lol)
2:- i can save a little cash for it but i think i will only be out for the day as i know i cant afford b&b or camping

right guys, Adam (RX8) and Si (Astra turbo) are trying to get the time off work to join us next weekend so fingers crossed they may be tagging along!

Chris - "keeping up"......im in a 60hp punto lol, ill be firmly stuck at the back with all that power. Last thing on my mind with 60hp and 165 tyres is going fast, ill be just along for the nice drive and good laugh and to see how economical i can be (without driving at 5mph off course). So dont worry about that haha.
