Re: 9N Polo GT TDI
well the tt's are still in progress as i have spent very little time really but still done a bit, plus even when i do have them done i need 4 new tyres and id rather its on its coils by then, but im saving to pay my insurance off in one go in march so its gonna be summertime when the magic might begin to happen, once that does happen if i dont sell the montreal 2's that are on now then i keep coming up with daft ideas like this......
but i think mine will take priority once again for a little bit as that fmic and stage 2 map arent gonna buy and fit themselves
i hate cars really i do

Re: 9N Polo GT TDI
well the motor had developed a problem recentley, mpg was down and startd getting quite a violent wheel wobble after being on the motorway for a bit, i thought it was strange and perhaps a sensor fault, and the vibration cos it was misfiring... all the tyres are recently new and wheel balance wasnt at fault, before i put my thinking cap on i scanned it and started to get worried when there were no fault codes, then i woke up and became pissed of with myself for not considering the brakes, anyway turns out the n/s/f caliper was binding and causing the disc to be warped and heat up when at a high speed for a while, and obviously the drop in mpg,
so a new caliper and some ATE power discs and ATE pads on the front, man i forgot how noisy grooved discs are, it hasnt been up the motorway yet but fingers crossed its back to normal.
oh and while i had the wheels off i changed the scabby center caps over to some id bought for it a bit back, need to paint the new caliper blue again and get the bugger washed and i'll pop some pics up... not that theres much to see,
lecture over, you may not get back the couple of minutes you just spent reading this hahaa

Re: 9N Polo GT TDI
I hate faults like this one when you check all the simple things and miss one of the simple checks glad it's sorted my drilled and grooved discs are a bit noisy too and that's the only mod on my car now no loud exhaust to cover the noise up.

Re: 9N Polo GT TDI
well still feeling really rough after more than a week now, f**k knows what sorta infection/virus ive got but its taking the piss, anyway the cars needed washing so i got mine done and Lindsay washed hers, and thought i'll get some fresh pics, show the front end with a wrapped badge instead of the debadge, the blue vw centres on the rims cos the old centres were nackered and the new front discs (with that freshly washed rust look )

Re: 9N Polo GT TDI
agreed on the grille,Linz prefers it too, cheers Dan
yeah Ry theyre pretty cool the discs, and even better cos technically they havent cost anything co they were a spare set i had for my bora, gotta love the interchangability of some vag stuff,
ive got some new sidelights to put in like the oned in mine which are 501 sized 15 led towers and hids are on there way over from china or hong kong so next weekend after rr day at nobles if theyre here i'll be fitting them and getting that new caliper painted
needs to be a touch lower and i need to get them rims on and it'll be a proper crackin little motor i reckon, but like ive said before i get the coilys for it my motors coming first for a change

Re: 9N Polo GT TDI
well nothings happened for a while but i now own this....
its a 9n3 GTI spoiler which also fits the 9n, its really similar to a votex one like danny has on his which i like the look of so cheers to him for the heads up when it came up for sale at a pretty good price as its brand new, as for when it'll go on though is another question with me, i seem to have got too much going on at the minute money wise
