Good and bad news for my punto 60

On saturday night driving home from manchester on the m62 the car started loosing power so pulled into the hard shoulder with the car miss firing called the rac. When the guy came he gave me the good news HEAD GASKET!!!
Got the car home by the rac at 1.30am sunday morning, i needed to push the car down the drive to get it off the road.
I went and got my girlfriend out of the house to stear the car down the drive while i push it. (should explain before i carry on that my drive is a little steep!)...... As i push it down the drive my girlfriend hit the accelerator pedal instead off the brake and the car ploughed into the garage with some force!!

This is the result of wot happend-



After having a chat with my brother-in-law (sprayer) and jason (mechanic) i have decided on the following list of things to do
while the car is off the road for the next couple of weeks undergoing repairs -

1. Repalce front bumper with sporting front bumper.
2. Replace wing with second hand one
3. Spraying drivers door
4. Replacing side repeaters and indicators with smoked one's
5. I have a new punto spoiler to spray and fit aswell

And as for the engine jason will be,

1. Replacing head gasket with a Payen head gasket (kit)
2. Getting head skimmed and shimmed up
3. Changing engine oil and filter and plugs
4. New coolant
5. Sorting out a better breather system
6. Fitting the new magnacor blue ht leads
7. Fitting new polished cam cover
8. Fitting a new set of coil packs as mine have died

Its been a good weekend for you matey!! as usual lol

I always look forward to these phone calls (ive broke down again) makes me feel that bit bettter knowing my car isnt the only car that dies alot! haha.

Anyway mate we will get it all sorted out and i cant wait to here the engine start up after the job is done with a nice skim n shim! no more tappets galore and you may gain a little bit more responce and power from a good skim if we ask them to take a fair bit off!
We need to wash the engine down as ive never seen an engine with so many www.oil leaks.com on it! and then all the bits in the new head kit should see you right.

Also it will be nice to see the front end with the sporting bumper with the fogs fitted and your new indicators n stuff.

ill take a few pics along the way for the forum so people can keep an eye on the " project - revieve the punto" hahaha

bad news m8 doesn't look too bad to sort out inleast you've got the money to sort it out now

everything is nearly sorted now! the car is running fine now thanks to jay. Still need to get the bumper and wing
sorted but shudnt be long now hopefully!

Im lovin the smoked front indicator lenses and it looked fairly quick when we went out other night

i hit a bump or go round a corner to fast! i know they look gud and i have order some clear side ones to so
everything goin ok now just need bumpers sorted and the spoiler on then am buzzin lol

Sorry if im behind but does it have the turbo on it now?
if so hows it running hope you get the bodywork sorted out unlike some people

Hello guys more breakdown news from the trusty fiat! It is now the clutch that has
gone this time lol (clutch release bearing). Also both my front shockers have gone so
just purchased some new g-max shockers from larkspeed and jay will be sorting the
clutch out for me. Also i need a new handbrake cable so will be replacing that shortly.
Will let u know how everything goes cheers

rite finally got the handbrake sorted on the car and had a new wheel bearing put on thanks to jay! everything been goin ok with the car now my front shockers have gone again so replacing them asap. also something wrong with the engine but not sure wot it is but am sure my mechanic (jay) will sort it out lol

i have made my mind up ry lol just waiting for matt to make his mind up lol

i keep kicking him up the arse lol, its just a case of him getting the money together mate which is always easier said than done
