If your like me then you are planning your next move before you have made the first one but i always have an idea what spec im going for next.
For me now its all about control and reliablility! i have reached my goal off 145-150bhp (and exceded it!!) im now running 165bhp/155lb/sf on an all new setup which consists off a 75hp 1.25 Multi point injection punto engine instead of the the old 60hp single point unit, this setup uses the O.E ecu to control the standard SPI injector for normal driving and four volvo large cc injectors fuel the "on boost" boost fueling for better fuel distribution, power etc etc.
The turbo i no run also is unstressed at my boost level and runs very efficiently.
So with the power at disired levels i no want to make the engine more solid, it runs standard rods apistons and crank so for reliablility im going to go for forged pistons which will mean ditching the decomp plate and gaining a few more hp's while at it, then im either going to get the rods shot-peened or go for aftermarket items, The crank will simply be balanced and lightened.
Also on the list id like to make the car more safe in a couple off ways, firstly by fitting a roll cage for incarsed stiffness and safty and secondly buy fitting a rear disc conversion along with a bias valve so the braking is as good as possible!
The car will soon become a playtoy rather than an everyday car as its doing my head in driving it to work, totaly rubbish as a town car, so when it does get replaced as a daily driver im going for semi slicks and spacers on the front end along with an uprated clutch!
