Cat And Fiddle Pass

The Cat And Fiddle is a road in the United Kingdom running between Buxton, Derbyshire and Macclesfield, Cheshire, named after a public house at its summit. Formed by parts of the A537, A54 and A53 it is famous for its scenic views across the Peak District National Park and the Cheshire Plain and for its many bends. It is extremely popular with motorcyclists, and is regularly classed as one of the most dangerous roads in the UK.

This guy is crazy but its still a great road

After sundays experdition in the fog i have decide this now one of my favorite roads
i love all the tight corners i recomended doing this road from the macclesfield end and climbing up to the cat and fiddle pub at the summit.

i agree, this is one of the very best roads, im pleased to say stripping the car to make it lighter has increase the cornering ability so i really enjoyed those twistys.

10 out of 10,,,,,,fog was scary thick at times!!

I think this road needs a better run in less foggy conditions and i think we could get some good pictures up there

actually to be honest its hard to get over 50 mph in a car on the road if you do your asking to die
but they have to spoil everything dont they awww and sorry about the word censorship lol

correct me i I'm wrong guys but there installing avg speed cameras to slow all the crazy bikers. iirc avg speed cameras take a picture of the front of you.
What happens is it takes a snap of your reg plate as you pass the first camera and again when it hits the second camera, then if the time between the 2 cameras is quicker than the time needed to travel said distance at a constant 50mph then it triggers the system to issue with a penalty.
Problem here is bikes don't have a reg plate on front so don't trigger the cameras therfore despite what police are saying this is in place soley to catch cars. As you have said its diffcult to sustain 50mph avg in a car the what use is the camera system.

Just to piss us off i think,,,,and to look like there doing somthing i suppose and make a few quid in the process

done this road a few times back when i had my bikes, and loved it. will have to try it in the car one day i think
