Uprated Clutch Kits
Hi Guys.
Car; 2005 BMW e46 330d Sports M-Tec (Std bhp 204) I need advice on what Uprated Clutch Kits are available to handle 500-550Nm Torque without going as extream as a paddle Spinner.
Thanks for any HELP...
Stephen.

Re: Uprated Clutch Kits
I take it your car is a manual if so it's a lot of torque i think you may struggle on a standard clutch and will more than likely keep frying the friction material if it was a auto they can handle more power than manuals because they are softer between shifts as opposed to manuals there are a few different options Stage 1 fast road up to 25% above standard bhp
Stage 2 heavily modified street or track use more than 25% above standard bhp or Stage 3 serious competition use ill send you a pm with some info hope i could help

Re: Uprated Clutch Kits
"stage 1", "stage 2" etc varies massively between manufacturers - best going off what they actually SAY. Plus, any retailer marketing em on power capacity and not torque capacity hasn't a clue...
exedy organics are sworn by for use on most cars, maybe see what they rate them to?
best bet tbh is asking on bimmer forums cos theres so many tuned on there, so they know what works and what doesnt.
