Nissan Primera SRi
right its now sold as when i moved back up to the north east my insurance went through the roof so had to get some thing alot kinder on my pocket, the replacement is a very clean and tidy 1996 nissan primera sri 1.6, its not the fastest thing in the world but its cheap, comfy and will hopefully be cheap to maintain lol

Re: Nissan Primera SRi
Right I know I have silent for a while but a lot has happened the main being the mighty primera spectacularly failing its mot, well it was that drastic but it needed new brakes all round and a new rear caliper and a small patch of welding. In the process of this I had a bob onto the owners club and as a result have found out this is a very rare model and it transpires a very sort after model amoungst the primera heads lol. No I am not pushing to sell it but two lads are offering money I am finding it hard to say no too lol. Time will tell if it stays as I could really do with more space for child number 2 lol hhhmmmmmmm T5 maybe lol

Re: Nissan Primera SRi
bahaahaha sorry but i cant help but laugh at the "rarity" of a 1.6 petrol Primera if people were offering you money for it IMO you should have dumped it on one of them for a profit!
If you want comfort, economy and something with a bit of poke, get an older VAG with a 1.9 PD115/130 engine, you'll never look back. Unless its for something actually "interesting".
Fair play if you like it enough to keep it kinda boring choice of car for someone who used to change cars like clothes though lol

Re: Nissan Primera SRi
Munkul when I got this car I thought like you, "bah its a 1.6 primera, everyone has one". I have done my reasearch and had a look around and it turns out this was one of the last 1.6sri saloons registered in the P10 chassis it is also the only one registered on the owners club and in really good condition. Not many sri saloon primera's were sold with the ga16 motor, most were sold with the sr20de. It comes down to the whole be different thing again lol I ask you again, why did you build your punto? There were much better bases to start from but you wanted a 1.2 turbo punto lol. Plus I have started to really fall for this car lol for a 1.6 it don't half shift lol plus because its the spawn of the 901 project it handles amazingly for a big car lol

Re: Nissan Primera SRi
well here is what i have been upto today, got bored and had the bits lying around so though them on the car as the old airfilter is totally blocked and this is only the mk1 version of a ram air style filter system i am in the process of putting together with alloy boost pipes and silicone boost hosing.
let me know what you think of the nozzel in the bumper (the air filter housing will be changed as i know its only going to get hot air the way it is at the mo)

Re: Nissan Primera SRi
cool
Should be a good little intake setup piped straight upto the front bumper, assuming its going to be a closed system to the bumper??
thanks

Re: Nissan Primera SRi
Hahaha it did cross my mind but there is a dirty great rad in the way lol. As it is I have had to cut a big hole in the splash hairs to allow the 4inch pipe to pass through lol oh well if it allows direct cold air into the filter for the mo I am happy.
