Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
Hi guys This is my Fiat Punto Mk2, Not really so much modified from the factory line, its just been upgraded to a better spec, OEM+ as some call it,
Anyway to the car.
Its a Standard Mk2 punto 8v active sport
a sexy low amount of horsepower lmaoo.
What I've done
Abarth Skirts,
Abarth Claw alloys
Full HGT interior
HGT rear axle conversion
Stilo splitter
My NON OEM mods.
Lowered on FK Coilovers, sitting at aprox 75 from -65rear mm
custom Forge induction kit
Custom one off spoiler
Angel headlights
smoked rear headlights
removed rear wiper and replaced with grommet (to be smoothed)
Mods to do;
Smooth bonnet and boot.
I'm sorry If the pictures come out super big! not sure if theres a rule for the photo uploads like there is over on FF

Re: Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
Thanks when you think of what it came off the factory line, its been updated allot, CC bumpers ect.
yeah actually, I'd like to get a full exhaust at some point, and my friend has a lighter fly wheel lying around that I might grab off him,
With it being an 8v though its not really worth much on the power gain side!

id tend to agree but ive just fitted Nitrous to my 60 haha, stupid but very fun going to varnish the NOS with a few more mods to boost up the power to around 80bhp without NOS hehe
thanks

Re: Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
I guess that comment was abit !?what?! lol. with people like yourself putting a turbo on them haha!
hahaha nos in a 60 lmaoo.
I'm planning on smoothing my bonnet hopefully in the next few weeks before the car shows start

Re: Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
nice looking car mate, i was seriously considering a set of claws for my mk1 sporting but not too sure lol
the good thing about small engine fiats is they dont really need a big hp gain to make then rapid, for example mine is 80-85bhp stock and is now running 97bhp for a chip, bigger TB and a cat back, it has turned it into a tarmac monster and its actually being held back at the mo by a problem with front suspension and really badly positioned air filter
the great thing about the 1242 8v engines is they are really light which when tuned makes for good power to wieght figures lol as is my car is running 101.5bhp/ton

Re: Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
we are proving on here that the small f.i.r.e engines respond well to light breathing mods FISHYGT's 60 made 80bhp with a home ported and polished head, 36mm TB and airfilter/cat back which i think is really impressive on stock map and cat etc
my stock 60 made 71.1bhp on the last visit with an 866 cam and removed stock airfilter, seemed to work well
gotta love the small f.i.r.e's heheee

Nice looking car calipers look good in orange the spoiler suites it and it looks quite low the Abarth side skirts and wheels give it a nice look

Re: Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
tidy mate, i love OEM+ styling, wayy better than motors that look like they crashed through the ripspeed section at halfords,
you could wash it though
i know the weather has made it pointless, i havent done mine this weekend either so i cant talk haha

Re: Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
thanks guys, I'd love to give it that little bit more hp tbh. and 8v engines i know are very easy to work on with the correct items!
Yeah its been lowered, Its on FK Coilovers, can go lower but not practical to get to work and back with there being bumps!
ahha its usually a spotless car but that pics taken after 200+ miles in wales other week haha! and the snow picture

Re: Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
Not any big plans regarding engine work.. have a holiday to pay for so car funds abit low
I am thinking about a twin exit exhaust though and some wind deflectors think they would look nice?
and regarding the Fk's Rybo, there a good coilover company, they have a range from budget to all up professional, great value for money, most people have said the ride is a bit 'rough' but I don't think its that bad at all tbh!
Worth paying for the better quality imo. and it also depends on the car, what its used for. obv if its a little engine car like mine it doesn't need top notch coils, i have mid ranged ones and there perfect for me Imo. although sometimes I do wonder if it would benifit from a Strutbrace....
hope this helps

Re: Reu-uk's Mk2 Punto
strut braces are one of the best mods you can do on fiats, eveny fiat i have ever been in with a upper or lower or both has always felt alot more positive on turn in, my cinq was undrivable with out but suffered from massive oversteer with upper and lower as they tightened the front up so much but i did have it set up very tight lol
and wind defectors on puntos always look good and work really well too
