mario's 320i
ok thought i would start the thread and let you guys know where its going
this a poor pic i know but the only one i have at the mo
plans are get the 330ci 17's fitted (hopefully before sat) and maybe lower it on M-tec -30mm springs or maybe coilies and have it as a smooth, comfy nice ride for just pottering around and generally enjoying driving while i put my top secret plan into action to make this abit of a sleeper
so jobs todo are to tidy the bits that have been neglected ie osf wing (rusted) and boot lid (rusted) and give it a good T-cut and take the 320i badge off and replace it with a 316i or Mpower not sure, also get some tires for the 17's and have a look to see if i can do something with the exhaust, its a stock exhaust but the back box has been replaced with one of thous cheap uni jobbies so it has been bodged on so i need to make a proper hanger for it rather than what looks like washing line lol oh and driver door card needs to be fitted properly but over all i'm very happy with my new run around lol

Re: mario's 320i
the shell had better be mint then, otherwise you might as well just buy a faster BMW to start with...

Re: mario's 320i
the prob with welding the diff is it will make it
1 unusable on the road
2 eat tires
and the shell is good i wouldn't say mint but its good, and yeah i could go buy a faster one a 328i or an M3 but that would be just following the heard, why did you turbo your punto 1.2 16v instead of buying a hgt???? to be different and see what it could do, i strive to be different from the crowd and do something out of the norm
and ryan to put you out of your misarey i am going to fit a 1242mpi fiat engine and then twin supercharge it lol thats about as close to what i am going to do as i am going to say until i have the bits and i start to do it lol

Re: mario's 320i
lol
welding the diff isnt half as bad as people think. Only times you would notice it is parking up. But suppose you arent really into the drift scene maybe you need a taste of it first lol
Fair play with doing epic things to this, you'd better make it 250bhp+ to make it worthwhile though

Re: mario's 320i
ok took my car to the autograss event up the road today and upon leaving i ended up in an unoffical drift event on grass and loved every second of the massive dounuts i left on the field and all this because the dunlops on the rear refused to grip and i lost my temper trying to get off the field with out spinning the wheels and getting the car dirty so i ended up using everyone of the 161 lol and now the car needs to be cleaned again lol dam it for being white

Re: mario's 320i
Ow how frustrating with it wanting to go sideways all the time that is the only problem with white it's a great car colour but it doesn't half get mucky.

Re: mario's 320i
dam got all confused then thought we had a new member lmao yeah its very frustrating when it goes sideways
ok just a little update
i have been talking to a lad that owns a 328i coupe and he has told me about a very easy and kind of cheap way to start knocking on the door of 200bhp so i am defo going to do it and i wont need a re-map for it yey
then after thats done i am going to look into the exhaust side of things and get the dead fuel away from the engine faster
i did mention somewhere that i was thinking of lowering it, i have now decided thats a bad idea as the handling is great how it is so dont see the point in fixing something that aint broke lol

Re: mario's 320i
ok a little update of whats been happening in the world of the beema
1st off i got stuck in the snow and lost my temper as it was all caused by a stupid taxi driver not leaving space lol, i floored the throttle to get out (big mistake) melted all the snow and ripped a dunlop run flat to shreads, New tires for the back
2ndly the temp dropped to a recorded -16c and that finished off my slowly dying battery, so had to buy one of them.
rubbing an empty wallet i go to fit new battery and low and behold my car is fitted with an aftermarket alarm, to which i have no fob for, time to by-pass the alarm, only to find it has an imobiliser too, by-pass that, only to find that the aftermarket alarm also over rides the controls for the factory fit immob and thus have to by-pass the over ride so the factory immob is now working as it should off the key
why am i starting to regret getting rid of the cinq

how long have you been driving? how many times have you driven on snow/ice? its common sence thats not how to get about in them conditions, not to mention the fact that they advertise it/talk about it everywhere as soon as the bad conditions kick in, you can blame the taxi for getting stuck but can only blame yourself for wrecking the tyres,
next time its really bad load up the boot with something heavy, as daft as it sounds it helps out massively

like i said i had lost my temp and i know how to drive in the snow and had been with great success until that point but after being stuck for around 35mins lol, and yes it was defo the taxi drivers fault as the road to his left was clear but he refused to move over and i dropped the rear left tire into the deep stuff and dunlop run flats are crap in the snow as they have next to no latteral groves, since i have put the new tires on i haven't even come close to getting stuck
jay my little punto 55s was amazing in the snow even though it had 195 tires lol, slow and steady gets you there lol

Re: mario's 320i
ok i was just doing a little bit of looking into chips for my car and i have found something interesting
my car as standard should produce 149bhp (ish) but as we know from the RR day it is producing 161bhp which by my maths is up 12bhp on stock, now the chip i have found says that it increases bhp by 13bhp, coincedence maybe but how many of you guys are thinking the same as me that its chipped, if it is how can i find out? or is it going to be a case of opening the ecu up??
