Straightliners Kirkbride 25/09/10

Here's some drag racing fun we had yesterday.

The mk1 escort belongs to my tuner Johnathan of JDM dyno. Still in primer, with a 240bhp cosworth V6 on DTA s80 management. On his first run, he forgot to enable TC and nearly fishtailed straight into me no video of that though!




Integra type R, escort again, and a really sweet caddy.




The corsa B has been one of the fastest cars at every straightliners event. He's had a 12.01 before, but now has more weight with a rollcage etc. Still wheelspins most of the way down the 1/4 mile, though! Belongs to Muppetsport who hosted these videos, and has over 500bhp from C20LET.

that was just a bad run - his best was 15.4 though, as opposed to 15 flat for me. Probably launch control helped with my times.

Pissed off cos i would have tried to nail a high 14 if the clutch hadnt packed in! As you say, good fun

drooling over the caddy, nice runs though mate, ive never done anything like that ever tbh, will have to go on the things to do list (doubt it in the canal barge like.. a future project though maybe)
