I gave a stranger a fat envelope stuffed with money today, and hopefully when i get home tomorrow, i will have a new car sitting outside my house.

Although "new" doesnt really describe it...

Anyways, its clean, boringly standard looking, japanese, RWD, and turbocharged.

Anyone wish to guess what it is i have bought? Very Happy

Its an s14.
Anyways i have just looked over it and test ragged it, its extremely clean, has a few choice mods like AP Racing padde clutch, gt28r turbo, full exhaust system, possibly an uprated diff since it leaves 11's instead of 1's (lol) although it could just be a working VLSD.
Thats in addition to wiseco pistons and a full engine rebuild. So ripe to take to around 400hp!

It was a gamble but it was cheap as! so me = very happy Very Happy

At the moment we think its only running between 270-300bhp, probably lower rather than higher, but the hunt is on to find what chip and boost control it is currently running!

nice choice mate

i too am a huge sx fan but my heart lies with the smalle s13 i'm affraid but i would concider an s15, the s14 for me was spoilt by the halfords bolt on special that lived where i used to live (all show no go)

cant wait to see yours and have my opinion changed

I know, i much prefer PS13/S13 to either the s14 or s14a. In fact i used to hate the s14 front end. Its growing on me now, but still want an s15 front conversion!

Strange though, its a big-ish car, yet only weighs 1200-odd kg and feels really chuckable. To the extent that i felt fine doing massive doughnuts in a very tight area!

big fan of the 200sx myself, if you need any advice or help just drop me a pm, fyi the gt28r is good for about 320bhp, with the right tune, standard afm is not much good above 300bhp, also guessing it has been changed but if not standard fuel pump should be changed if going above 250bhp.

If its not been chipped also if you go much above 260bhp you'll hit the dredded fuel cut which when accelerating hard feels like you've drove into a wall.

As for best chips depending on the rest of the spec a horsham dev stage 3 chip would suit the turbo perfect Cool

glad to see we have 2 200sx's on the forum ow.....munkul at least you no where to go for a good setup, look at simons (swebb200sx) his runs 360bhp!! and there has been alot off work put in there aswell
