BMW Mini Countryman

The engineers brief was to deliver typical Mini handling high on fun with responsive steering that allows the car to corner as if it's on rails. They have suceeded you can throw the Countryman around at ridiculous speeds. And both the 1.6 litre turbo diesel and petrol engines pump out performance that seems a lot quicker than the figures of 0-62 mph in 10.9 seconds (diesel), 10.5 seconds (cooper) and 7.4 seconds (cooper s).

Fuel consumption is 44.8 mpg and 46.3 mpg for the petrol engines with 65.7 mpg for the diesel CO2 emissions range from 121g/km to 146g/km. Prices start at £16,000 for the Countryman One the diesel Cooper costs £18,810 and the top-of-the-range all-wheel-drive Cooper S goes up to £22,030.
