Mountune Ford Focus RS

The Ford Focus RS500 sold out with more than 3,000 immediately snapped up when it was revealed back in 2007. Ford bosses have given the green light to a super-fast version. The turbo-charged 2.5 litre engine has been tweaked by UK-based Mountune. The result is a 15 percent power output increase from standard to 345 bhp. The engine management system has been optimised too so the car does 0-62 mph in 5.6 secs with a top speed of 165 mph. In classic Ford tradition you can have it in any colour you like so long as it's matt black and comes with 19" 15 spoke alloy-wheels and unique badging. Only 101 will be available in the UK but guaranteed exclusivity comes at a price around £34,000 and i want one.

0.2-0.3 seconds faster too 60 and 3mph top end increase.......sems very little for 45bhp increase, shame lol. BTW Celtic tuning have just managed to get 369bhp from the new RS with just a remap! i want one)

Now that looks sweet. But when will they bring back 4WD, like the old Escort RS Cosworth? That kind of power is useless in FWD cars, you can't get the power down properly.

totaly agree, the escort cosworth was and always will be the king, get the engine to 400bhp and let the 4x4 do the hard work,,,,,,,then peak in your mirrow to see how far behind the RS focus is hehe

cant dis the Focus though, its awsome! and what ford have achieved with the new revo nuckle suspension and ATB diff is amazing, i spoke to a guy the other day who owns an RS and he said it wasnt as fast as his old 340bhp scooby but it cornered even better!!
