There are two engine options both are variations on Nissan's all new naturally aspirated HR12 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder petrol engine inheriting it's DNA from the HR16 4 cylinder engine powering the Note and Quashqai the new engine employs valve-timing control (VTC) power is rated at 59kw (80ps) While torque output is 108 nm at only 115g/km co2 emissions.

In addition to the normally aspirated engine nissan will also offer a supercharged 1.2 litre direct injection with stop start system fitted as standard. This reduces co2 by six per cent power output of 72kw (98 ps) and 142 nm of torque emissions will be just 95g/km.

There is talk of a turbocharged 1400 from my source, no info on power figures but id guess around the 160-170bhp mark to be on par with the Abarth SS, or maybe a 140bhp version.

If i were them id not bother with this idea, im not a fan of the car!

I have read a few others too and like you jay im not a fan either the other micra's arn't that bad but this one is terrible.
