Fantasy F1 League, for fun...
I just had a brainwave in the shower. If anyone is still into F1 and fancies a just for fun Fantasy F1 league, I think I just came up with a real simple set of rules/guidelines to have one running on the forum.
If anyone is interested in having a go for fun, let me know and I'll post what I came up with. Part of the simplicity relies on the ability for everyone to edit the initial post all through the season to keep the thread short and uncomplicated rather than it getting massive and difficult to follow.
I won't be offended in the slightest if no one is interested, or forum admins for any reason don't want it running. It was just an idea.

Re: Fantasy F1 League, for fun...
The idea was to start a new thread, and each person who wants to join in makes a post with their team name. Then each race weekend people edit their original post and add to it the race number and drivers selected. Then on sunday night edit with the points scored by each driver, and if they want a running total of points at the bottom. This keeps the thread short and easy to follow.
This is what I came up with for the rules, to keep it simple and fun:
General Rules
All entrants pick 2 drivers per race weekend.
Drivers should be picked before Qualifying starts on the Saturday (but you can check out Friday practice times to help you choose).
You score what each of your 2 drivers scores at the end of the race, plus bonus 10 points if you had the pole position driver that week.
Driver Selection Rules
To make it competetive, and challenging, here are the rules for picking drivers each week.
Your 2 drivers for that week must not be on the same team.
You can only have each driver a maximum of 4 times through the entire season (this stops people picking Hamilton and Schumacer every week etc, and means you have to use some lower drivers).
Additional Rules
To save confusion or arguments, you score the points awarded to the drivers at the end of the Grand Prix. Should Ferrari spit the dummy out and cause the marshalls to change finishing positions later on in the week/year your original points will still stand.
The person with the most points at the end of the season is the winner, and gets a virtual pint from all the other entrants.
What do you think? Any good?
