Impreza Sport - Handling...
I don't want to do anything with power, power would mean brakes (4-pots front, drum to disc conversion rear), suspension, probably clutch, gearbox and driveshaft upgrades, as well as rear diff etc (we're talking going from N/A to turbo here).
I do however, when funds allow, plan to fit some Whiteline drop-links front and rear, as well as a thicker rear Whiteline anti-roll bar and front and rear strut braces. Have been told on the Impreza Drivers forum this will make a massive difference to cornering, but have little effect on the general ride comfort (where stiffer suspension will do my back in and I'm getting old now!).
I also thought about a new exhaust that isn't quite as loud, so I can have a decat pipe put in. As it is now with the cat I have to have the 12" Fusion sub and amp to hear the radio on the m/way!!

If you take you car back to Hawleys paul they will fit another straight through box in to quiet it down, they gave ricky with the 1.8t passat the same option. improved handling sounds good, and your right, N/A - turbo can cause so many problems,,,,,,,,,,i mean mines an acception.......oh no wait......no im wrong, it breaks every week haha

theres always the saying "why build something you can buy" so just little improvements that arent too expensive means you can save cash where it counts, then if you really want to save enough to buy another motor with the bits you wanted in the first place
