THE FORD RS200 BDT COSWORTH

Back in the days of the now banned group B rallying Fords secret weapon was the RS200, the common group B cars were fitted with the BDT 1800cc engine developing 350-450bhp combined with a short wheel base and 4 wheel drive.
Max power 450 bhp (PS-DIN) (331 kW ISO) at 8,000 rpm.
Max torque 361 lb/sf of torque (489 N·m) at 5,500 rpm.
The RS200's were massivly competative and 200 road going versions where made, the road going cars where toned down to 250bhp giving 0-60 in around 6.5 seconds.
The more impressive versions of the RS200 were the EVO modles fitted with a 2.2 litre turbocharged engine developing between 650 and 850bhp, the EVO3 cars were 850bhp and gave blistering performance times,,,here see for yourself -
