Fiat Schwitzer S1 Turbo Conversion
Probably a question for Jason here:
I'm pretty sure the Turbo kit listed below on eBay is part of an original Novitec conversion. Could you possibly shed any light on the item please?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110821239802&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en#ht_500wt_1202
Also, what are your thoughts on this conversion and Schwitzer turbos?
Worth a punt maybe?
Cheers.

Re: Fiat Schwitzer S1 Turbo Conversion
Uww this looks interesting!
Nice little bit of kit there!, well for a good start they say the turbo is re-conned, so at the boost levels you will more than likely be running (id guess you will go for between 6-15psi??) you are more than likely going to have a reliable turbo and yes these turbo's where used for the Novitec kits.....however there are around 150 different types of S1 Schwizter turbo's ranging in fitments, A/R and design etc so it would be interesting to know if it was once part of the original Novitec kit or added later to give you an idea at exactly what spec that one is.
But either way just looking at it from the pic it looks an ideal sensible size and it may well be worth a punt! the Novitec kits where always far more powerfull than than V.A.D kits anyway so youve probably got a nice sized turbo there.....
Unless its my eyes though it looks like the flange for the turbo comes of the manifold at a weird angle???.... I know mine was real pain to fit against the rad but then again the GT1752 is a big bugger
thanks
Jason
