Re: Coilovers!!!
What car? What do the owners club say/do?
Raceland and other cheap coilies are cheap for a very good reason - they are wank and fail often. Also avoid FK AK (other Fk's are ok) jamex, that sort of thing.
A good price IMO is around £400 but how long is a piece of string... if its a car you dont need comfort/amazing handling, then why not buy £150 coilies... if its a daily high miler and you want a high quality ride, you maybe want to pay £1000+...
I paid £350 for my s14 ones, on very special offer from normal price of £600, and you can tell they are £600 coilovers. Similarly, I have seen the cheap ones and you can tell they are cheap.
If that makes any sense lol

Re: Coilovers!!!
never had a problem with the ones on my passat, been on 2 years, only cost £200, heard of others having problems but i'll probably use them again, yeah fair enough they seize up really easily cos theyre made of cheaper stuff but i set it low, raised it a little after a couple of weeks and there its stayed since, they came with a 2 year warranty anyway,
plus you'll find even the cheap ones relatively comfy on the a4 as the car is a longer wheelbase and has multi link suspension on the front, whereas the ibiza i had was a bouncy little fcker

Re: Coilovers!!!
sound advise guys well i will see what the budgy is and make a desision from there, if i get the cheap ones and they are poor then i aint lost out really lol where as if i pay for the expensive stuff and it turns out to be trash then i will be pissed lol.
i dont bother with one make forums anymore as i have found them to be based mainly on the top end models and if you ask about a lower spec car they dont want to know, i know that my quattro is not the top spec 2.8 or a 1.8t, but i like my little 2.6 and it is more than pokey enough for me lol just want it to look less 1.6 lol

Re: Coilovers!!!
some forums ive seen are like that dude yeah, but a fair few vag ones arent bad as people slam their cars so whats the point in having something so quick anyway, mine was probably just about usable but then again its no cornering machine anyway so a bit of straight line powers allright
