New Car!!!
Hi All
I was wondering if you lot could help me out please!
I am thinking about changing my Smart Roadster that I have had for the past 5 years. But I am unsure what I want!!
Here is what I want out of a car:
Got to be small
Forced Induction (Either Turbo or Supercharged or both!!! )
Less than £5500
3 Doors
Needs to stand out
Do not want a Corsa, Saxo, Astra etc.......
Any ideas??
Thanks
Lou

Re: New Car!!!
£5.5k would get you a MINT s14a thats had loads of engine and body work done. It would be far more fun (and look was more impresive) than anything else mentioned so far.
I'd say PS13 but its probably way too old for you anyways lol

Re: New Car!!!
Finally got a new car.
The Roadster decided that it didn't want to play any more and just gave up. Complete electrical melt down we think. But it has gone now.
But I have got a new toy.
OK it isn't forced induction but it will do for now. Till I get some pennies together to Mod it!!!
Got a 2003 Proton Satria GTI. Standard compared to the other halves!!! We now have his and hers!!!
Will take some pictures when we have a nice day and post them up!!!
Thanks for all your ideas.
Lou

Re: New Car!!!
Hi Jason
We are both good thanks.
The little monster is GREAT. Just love the look on people faces when they TRY and race it. Have been having some fun with Expensive Audi's and BMW's!!!!!
Here is the spec:
The Satria Sports GTi was launched with a 138 bhp (103 kW) 1.8-litre Mitsubishi-sourced 4G93p engine, originally found in the Mitsubishi Lancer GSR, but minus the turbo and with an increase in compression to compensate for the power loss.
This model was later evolved by Lotus Engineering, the Satria GTi's engine and handling was later tuned and revised, delivering 141 brake horsepower (105 kW). It has a top speed of 204 km/h (127 mph).
During the involvement of Lotus,a new body kit was also adopted for the GTi for better aerodynamics. In the UK this limited edition vehicle wears a Lotus Engineering badge below the Proton Satria GTi badge. Proton claims that the Satria GTi was their fastest car it has ever produced to date.
The MMC (Mitsubishi Motor Company) version was produced from the start of the GTi creation which was 1999 until mid 2002. The VDO(Siemens) version, which has been said to have a little less power have been in production from mid 2002 until 2005 when Proton ceased production.
Taken from Wikipedia. Easier then typing it all out!!! Mine is a 2003 so it has got the slower ECU!!!
I am loving it. But still getting used to the size and also Manual!!! Been driving for 9 years but the 2 smarts that I had were Auto / Tiptronic!!!

Re: New Car!!!
good,
glad to hear the beast is still bombing about showing the big expensive toys how it done!!, Its the best feeling ever driving a turbo'd shoe box at a million miles an hour haha....
Nice new car!, thats a generous amount of power there from a stock 1.8, have you too got any plans to play with this new one then??
And as for the getting used to the size bit......imagine me going from a 1 foot long cinquecento to a 10 mile long Volvo estate haha, felt very odd for a long time, now its really odd to get back in the cinq, can really see just how small they are now!

I am in the process of cleaning the seats.
The lad before me only found out 2 days before he sold it that it had a cup holder. The stains are coffee and coke!!!
