Re: Advise about W.I
Sorry to say mate but Bruce (Our Sponsor) isnt yet a member here yet
but ill be able to help no worries
small turbo's running high boost like yours (roughly 1.7bar) kick out some serious heat from the compressor robbing the air of oxygen so using a Devils Own W.I with a pre turbo nozzle would be a very wise moved!, it has been known to drop compressor outlet temps between 60-160degree's !!! using a 0.75gph nozzle running around 100-150psi. By doing this you can expect to see between 10 and 15% increase in power due to the effects on air cooling thus giving more available oxygen, its like anything though you need to have extra fuel to make more power so thats where running 50% methanol comes in
a basic kit with a 6-30psi pressure switch and "Pre-turbo upgrade" is alll you really need for now -
Base W.I kit with 6-30psi on/off boost switch = £219.00 inc vat
10% discount through the forum
Pre-turbo upgrade kit = 22.50 in vat
10% discount through the forum
optional extra's that are worth thinking about are a 2 or 4 quartz methanol tank which are between £23 and £30 quid......
the best setup is to run pre turbo and post intercooler with the correct sized jets to suit this will give power, torque, reliability, and even economy
ow and to answer your question you MAY see gains of upto 15bhp and 10-15 or even 20lb/sf of torque
thanks
Jason
