one week to find out what i can do with the rest of my life.

Im doing a part-time BEng degree in mechanical engineering.
Last year i failed the mechanical science exam, along with 4 out of 5 others in my class.
I took a resit, which i failed again, along with one other person.
I took the 2nd resit this morning. Fairly confident that i passed... i know of 2 questions i messed up on though. Anyone who has done it will know what I'm talking about - 3 hour exam, memorise massive formulas, certain figures, etc. heck, the maths units were easy compared to this, and i know a lot of people struggled with them.

So in a week, i get the results. If I've failed this time, I have to drop off the course, which means continuing as a mechanical fitter apprentice. Not the worst job in the world, but not what i want to do for the rest of my life...

Ok venting of feelings over.

Id definatly choose to be a Car Mechanic only job and best job iv'e had love working on all sorts of cars plus you'll have had a head start with your project cars and extra knowledge hope it goes too plan you might aswell try to be at the top if you get what i mean.

cheers mate, actually I'm not a car mechanic... mechanical engineering is a massive subject, covering groundwork for designing and understanding anything that moves and most things that dont....

mechanical fitter job is like mechanic but much bigger scale, building/servicing/replacing industrial plant in factories, that sort of stuff... its a good job and pays well but i want to get on the design and technical side of things. Well, wantED to, lets see what happens....
