hahahaha we thought it looked a little like a vectra in one of the pics we took lol, its cos of the de-badged bonnet it totally changes the charecter of the car

fun little cars!!!! i have always thought of these as a saxo in drag, but my god was i wrong, talk about grip, its on rails and the speed it goes from 0-70 is insane for a 106 lol and these to are evenly matched but i think i have the upper hand slightly lol

very nice, always liked GTi's ive had a few mates with them and they are great fun.

Not keen on the debadged bonnet, but suppose its not about the looks for you anyways Wink The silver one looks smart with the halos though!

Looks mint you have finally bought a decent quick car but you should have bought a Saxo VTS jocolor same car anyway and i think the Pug's look more aggressive than the Saxo's Wink

they both have the same halo lights lol just mine are chrome backed so dont show up on the pics very well, and yeah your right its not really about the looks with me its about the go lol

right we have both been messing around with the sound systems today lol, when i bought mine it had a fold out dvd player and screens in the head rests which to be fair i dont really have a want for them so cal is fitting them into his (clears a debt) and i am fitting a cd player, i also while i had my door cards off hiding the cross overs i thought it would be a good idea to remove the door pins which means that now the car can only be unlocked with the key fob, which aint a prob as its also alarmed lol, i have also decided to fit the ecosse scoop intake that came with the car but i have to move the battery first as some-one at some point thought it would be smart to fit a bigger battery lol

oh and i fixed the exhaust so it doesn't sit as low as it was lol

lmao i think we all know my opinions on saxo's, the 106GTi is actually slightly quicker and slightly lighter than the vts why i dont know but i dont car lol i hate the look of the vts, thing the GTi is soooooo much more aggresive as you say ry, will have to meet up some time for a chin wag as you will know abit about these engines lol

I can't wait too have a good nosey id have loved to have a Saxo VTS or a Pug 106 GTI but with insurance been so high i had to settle for the VTR which wasn't slow for what it was i would have like to have put the 16 valve lump in but as you know disaster struck if i was you id do something with the brakes but then again yours does have abs so it's not too bad Smile

trust me the brakes are amazing and cal has discovered his has the big brake conversion lol

i have driven a well sorted vts before and in all honesty i thought it was ok but it was nothing compared to these, we want to get them on the rollers as we think both are far from the stock 118bhp pug say they have

They have 120 bhp just looked at the figures at the weight and they are considerably lighter than the VTS me and James have drove GTI's at work and when i went out in one that was standard i was impressed you can push an extra 5bhp out by fitting the C2 VTS head and inlet manifold they have bigger inlet valves or if you want a lower millege engine that is only if yours is about knackerd or for future reference just fit the C2 engine as they are newer Wink

hmmmmm where do you live lmao, yeah been looking into it all and the C2 vts head you right is slightly better lol but my engine is a recon not long ago by the looks of it lol, they state 120bhp but are actually 118bhp lol but 2bhp is nothing lol i think there is more power to be gained from other things like better flowing exhausts and better fueling, but we shall see what happens

cams and a good map helps a long way... lad i raced against had a gti with cams, full exhaust system, and a DTA S40, running 160bhp. Was only 0.1 second behind the punto on the 1/4mile, but probably faster on corners anyways.

One of my mates had a GTi as well, with exhaust, cams, Emerald ECU, blackbird ITBs but a really bad map, only ran 160bhp-ish too, but it was fecking ace fun, and sounded the absolute tits! It was running so rich that it popped 3ft flames on the overrun lol

munkul yeah going to get cams for them and whats know as a predator plug and play ecu which is a direct mappable replacement ecu for the GTi/VTS and then we are both considering forced induction but i want a charger and cal wants a turbo so we shall see, yeah in the twisty stuff i have never know a car that handles sooo well, these things are planted and i mean planted lol, i hit my head on the drivers side window going around a round-about today and it bloody hurt lol

chris yeah i am getting about about 35mpg taking it slow but the flames on over-run are soooooooo worth it lol

Ok i have got abit of a problem and the only answer i can come up with is to sell the little monster, ok bit of back ground, i have started seeing a new lass and she has just had a baby, can you see where this is going, and the little pug just isnt big enough so it looks like it may have to go so i can get a bigger car that can buy a car that will actually fit a car seat in the back and a buggy i. The boot and most of all be safe, looks like a volvo could be on the cards
