My R32 Skybus GTR
So picked this up about a month and a bit ago as a replacement for my S2000 (plan was this and a runabout, i've erm not got around to getting a runabout yet... oops!) Already spent too much money on it too but such is the way with cars heh
Spec is approximately;
Full engine rebuild with metal HG and recon head by Rising Sun Performance about 10k ago
Vernair Pulleys of some sort
Hybrid standard turbos using steel internals and 375deg bearings & uprated actuators - about 4k ago
Apexi Power FC and controller - mapped by RSP
Hybrid Intercooler
Greddy Profec B Spec II boost controller - although only really being used as a gauge for now as injectors already maxxed out at 0.8bar so must be flowing pretty good air heh
M's Air Filters
3" Exhaust
Decat
Possibly uprated downpipes not sure, has a jasma looking plate on there
D2 Coilovers
Driftworks top camber arms
Ferrari F40 front brake calipers on big ally mounting brackets
Braided lines, uprated discs/pads etc to suit above
OMP Suede steering wheel
Rota GTR 18x9.5 et12 with Yoko Advan semi slicks fitted
Plans from here are catch can being fitted this weekend, bigger injectors and fuel pump to come as well as uprated Air Flow meters as the stock ones soon be maxed out... Also need to do something about new exhaust, was sold it as a R32 GTR exhaust but its off a R33 so fit is sh!t to say the least and i'm really not happy about it...
Dont have a clue on power but best guess can be got from the fact stock injectors max out at 440ish apparently and i'm running at 95% injector duty as a peak (have seen as high as 98% so dialled the boost down a little at that point)
(Ignore old exhaust below)
Oh and given i've only had it a month and a half its already been through a few different looks...
As I got it;
And first set of wheels I bought before replacing with the Orange ones;
As always any comments welcome

Re: My R32 Skybus GTR
Cheers all for feedback always good to know when things go down well heh Orange wheels was a risk but seems to work
MPG wise its pretty bad, but my RX7 was worse heh
Hey Munkul, definately come a fair way with a few interesting stops inbetween, still miss that thing though - although that said if i was doing it again now i'd have done it so differently you wouldnt even recognise the engine setup heh

Re: My R32 Skybus GTR
so pretty much what Matt Atkinson is doing with it then? He seems to keep it under wraps mostly but he's investing quite a bit of money and time into it now!

Re: My R32 Skybus GTR
Probably heh, learnt alot from messing with the jap stuff (latest reply ever?)
All good fun with the Skybus, continuing to improve stuff and fix stuff as I go
Had a problem with the oil water cooler which took a while to diagnose, but basically this was the coolant believe it or not;
Currently got the engine in bits to change the oil/water cooler, unsure what I'm doing just yet with replacing the stock cooler with a used one or fabricating a one off external cooler setup (usually people keep the stock cooler, but i'm investigating getting rid completely - not a path often trodden by the looks of it)
On top of that I've got Orange paint on the way for inlet and rocker covers, as well as a few bits to help get the most out of the engine ;
300ZX Air Flow Meters x2 (80mm vs 70mm and good for 700bhpish rather than 440ish)
HKS Filters for the above
Adaptors and hoses/pipes for the above 2 things (few to still buy but they're expensive )
GReddy 660cc Injectors
Apexi Fuel Pump
HKS Hi-Power Silent exhaust with centre box removed - 3.5" bore for more powers
Basically at just a bar of boost it was maxing out the stock fueling system and afm's, they get maxed out at about 440bhp so when its turned up to 1.4bar with the supporting mods above (everything else I've already got and my turbos will comfortably run it) should be quite interesting
11's down the 1/4 mile or bust!
Also picked up a new daily driver a while ago, couldnt leave it alone though so its already on fully adjustable coilovers and the pimping 17's it came on, only 90bhp mind so bit of a culture shock from the GTR
Will fit some 110bhp injectors to it to get a bit more power out of it but thats it from now... need to waste more money on the skyline

Re: My R32 Skybus GTR
Aye, it says its done 98k odd now, but tbh think its been clocked personally - but it runs well enough after a service and a few quid here/there
On the skyline because of the stock oil/water cooler rupturing i've tracked down a part off a UK R33 GTR (only 10 made! so not bad going) which allows you to replace the stock oil/water cooler with an external oil cooler.
So when I next get a chance bumper will come off the GTR and we'll see where I can fit an oil cooler and how big I can go, then time to order hose/fittings and the cooler
On top of that sanded down the strut brace yesterday and started on the inlet.
Strut brace is going Orange end plates with a satin black brace bar and the inlet is probably going orange along with the rocker covers further down the line
