Re: Fabia vRS
i know can't believe how clean it looks in them pics, hasn't been washed since last friday.
it still had plenty more to give was tickling the throttle, bet its nothing compared to the 911 crushing punto though, you lost me going through town that much i went to train station to get on the train i was that embarresed
You can have it for a tenner for fitting the springs for me tday

Re: Fabia vRS
r8 then little update
been down to Shark Performance today, he plugged his laptop in did his magic and a fault code check found no problems.
popped open the bonnet and checked for a boost leak with some machine that chucked a load of white smoke out to see if there was a leak, it didn't show anything but one of the seals has gone he said as there was alot of oil on the pipe. he gave it a clean and put it all back together and it feels fine now really pulls well now.
anyway he gave me a part number: 6Q0 145 117 A
belows a pic of the bit he looked at.
number 23 on the image is were the oil was coming out.

Re: Fabia vRS
unless it was a bad boost leak it shouldn't be Causing an issue at all and the fact that he cleaned out the pipe also shouldn't make any difference at all......unless he has changed something on the map without you knowing ad bet money the power graph will be the same mate
did you show him the graph???
thanks
Jason

Re: Fabia vRS
yeah it'll be interesting, the graph that he says is "nowt" is far from though as Noble's agreed, that was a pretty nasty drop in power and torque and the pipe cleaning certainly wount have cured that lol, he might have changed something without saying ?? either way as long as its ok that the main thing right
RR day here we come

Re: Fabia vRS
If it feels faster than before then it must have a different map the other thing could just be psychalogical because it's been in to be looked at

Re: Fabia vRS
odd for someone to say that a dip in a power curve is "nowt" fair enough if it tailed off but it clearly dips then continues to rise..... *adds shark performance to the list of places not to use

Re: Fabia vRS
Little update:
i've been buying, just a couple of cosmetics and a few mechanical bits and bobs
firstly i've got some of the Ibiza cupra bushes and i still need to order the powerflex front wishbone front bushes, if anyone knows who does em please let me know.
also i got myself a new aerial from the new polo after first noticing them last year whilst on holiday so i thought i'd treat myself to one £13 from VW and not the £15 someone is selling them on eBay for.
Finally bought a 12X28 sheet of Lamin-X to do my rear lights
here's a few pics.
Before
After
you can just about see my aerial in the first two pics aswell
